The “Contractors Meeting” allowed Agree to exchange solutions and learn about the best practices of European projects with the same scope.
Returning to face-to-face events in October gave CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) the opportunity to convene the LIFE and Horizon 2020 projects for the first time since 2019.
The event, which was held in Brussels, brought together projects for regions and cities on the transition to clean energy, together with the so-called PDA projects (project development assistance).
The meeting allowed the people involved to share their perspectives on the financing of this matter in the EU for the coming years and allowed exchanging good practices with reference to implementation and communication of projects, making it easier for them to share useful information on management among peers.
This way, thanks to the wide network of colleagues working on similar issues, the participants learned inspiring ideas from all over Europe, with enhanced learnings that the teams will later apply for the benefit of all citizens.
The day featured two distinct sessions. First of all, a pooling of completed PDA projects, considered best practices, to explain the main solutions found to the problems identified in the development of the work.
On the other hand, a series of group sessions were held to share the main difficulties encountered in projects that, like Agree, are currently being developed, in addition to the solutions that are being conducted.
Between the two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, a refreshment was offered at the facilities with the clear objective of favouring contact between the different teams.
The day ended with a positive assessment by all the participating projects and a series of proposals for improvements for next year’s session.
